EXCITOTOXINS - The Taste That Kills

Excitotoxins are food additives that can stimulate nerve cells in the brain to death.
The most common excitotoxins in the diet are MSG and aspartame. MSG, in particular, is present in almost all processed foods, but is often called by different names. It can even be in foods labelled 'No MSG'.

There are a growing number of clinicians and basic scientists who are convinced that a group of compounds called excitotoxins play a critical role in the development of several neurological disorders including migraines, seizures, infections, abnormal neural development, certain endocrine disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, learning disorders in children, AIDS dementia, episodic violence, lyme borreliosis, hepatic encephalopathy, specific types of obesity, and especially the neurodegenerative diseases, such as ALS, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, and olivopontocerebellar degeneration.

What is an excitotoxin?
These are substances, usually acidic amino acids, that react with specialized receptors in the brain in such a way as to lead to destruction of certain types of neurons. Glutamate is one of the more commonly known excitotoxins, but over seventy have thus far been identified. MSG is the sodium salt of glutamate. Glutamate is a normal neurotransmitter in the brain. In fact, it is the most commonly used neurotransmitter by the brain. Defenders of MSG and aspartame use, usually say: How could a substance that is used normally by the brain cause harm? This is because, glutamate, as a neurotransmitter, exists in the extracellular fluid only in very, very small concentrations - no more than 8 to 12uM. When the concentration of this transmitter rises above this level, the neurons begin to fire abnormally. At higher concentrations, the cells undergo this specialized process of delayed cell death, excitotoxicity. That is, they are excited to death.
It should also be appreciated that the effects of excitotoxin food additives generally are not dramatic. Some individuals may be especially sensitive and develop severe symptoms and even sudden death from cardiac irritability; but, in most instances, the effects are subtle and develop over a long period of time. While the food additives, MSG and aspartame, are probably not direct causes of the neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's dementia, Parkinson's disease, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), they may well precipitate these disorders and certainly worsen their pathology as we shall see. It may be that many people with a propensity for developing one of these diseases would never develop a full blown disorder had it not been for their exposure to high levels of food borne excitotoxin additives. Some may have had a very mild form of the disease had it not been for the exposure. Likewise, food borne excitotoxins may be harmful to those suffering from strokes, head injury and HIV infection, and certainly should not be used in a hospital setting.

WATER

Water is a chemical compound with the chemical formula H2O. A water molecule contains one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms connected bycovalent bonds. Water is a liquid at standard ambient temperature and pressure, but it often co-exists on Earth with its solid state, ice, and gaseousstate (water vapor or steam). Water also exists in a liquid crystal state near hydrophilic surfaces.

Safe drinking water is essential to humans and other lifeforms even though it provides no calories or organic nutrients.

The human body contains from 55% to 78% water, depending on body size. To function properly, the body requires between one and seven liters of water per dayto avoid dehydration; the precise amount depends on the level of activity, temperature, humidity, and other factors. Most of this is ingested through foods or beverages other than drinking straight water. It is not clear how much water intake is needed by healthy people, though most specialists agree that approximately 2 liters (6 to 7 glasses) of water daily is the minimum to maintain proper hydration. Medical literature favors a lower consumption, typically 1 liter of water for an average male, excluding extra requirements due to fluid loss from exercise or warm weather.

Specifically, pregnant and breastfeeding women need additional fluids to stay hydrated. The Institute of Medicine (U.S.) recommends that, on average, men consume 3.0 liters and women 2.2 liters; pregnant women should increase intake to 2.4 liters (10 cups) and breastfeeding women should get 3 liters (12 cups), since an especially large amount of fluid is lost during nursing. Also noted is that normally, about 20% of water intake comes from food, while the rest comes from drinking water and beverages (caffeinated included). Water is excreted from the body in multiple forms; through urine and feces, through sweating, and by exhalation of water vapor in the breath. With physical exertion and heat exposure, water loss will increase and daily fluid needs may increase as well. (Wikipédia)

One of the most important contributions to maintaining good health is drinking plenty of pure, chemical-free water.

Drinking Water Helps Maintain the Balance of Body Fluids. The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature.

Water Can Help Control Calories. For years, dieters have been drinking lots of water as a weight loss strategy. While water doesn't have any magical effect on weight loss, substituting it for higher calorie beverages can certainly help.

Water Helps Energize Muscles. Cells that don't maintain their balance of fluids and electrolytes shrivel, which can result in muscle fatigue

Water Helps Keep Skin Looking Good. The skin contains plenty of water, and functions as a protective barrier to prevent excess fluid loss.

Water Helps Your Kidneys. Body fluids transport waste products in and out of cells. The main toxin in the body is blood urea nitrogen, a water-soluble waste that is able to pass through the kidneys to be excreted in the urine.

Water Helps Maintain Normal Bowel Function. Adequate hydration keeps things flowing along your gastrointestinal tract and prevents constipation.

Can You Feel It

CAN YOU FEEL IT by JACKSON FIVE

Can you feel it?

All the colors of the world should be
Lovin' each other wholeheartedly
Yes, it's all right
Take my message to your brother
And tell him twice

Spread the word and try to teach the man
Who's hating his brother
When hate won't do, ooh
'Cause we're all the same, yes
The blood inside of me is inside of you

Every breath you take
Is someone's death in another place
(Another place, another place, another place)
Every healthy smile
Is hunger and strife to another child
(Another child, another child)

But the stars do shine
In promising salvation, is near this time
(Near this time)
Can you feel it now?
So brothers and sisters show me know how

All the children in the world should be
Loving each other wholeheartedly
Yes, it's all right
Take my message to your brother
And tell him twice

Take the news to the marching men
Who are killing their brothers
When death won't do, ooh
Yes, we're all the same
Yes, the blood inside of me is inside of you

Earth Song

EARTH SONG by MICHAEL JACKSON

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain.. .
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

What have we done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores

If I Can Dream

IF I CAN DREAM by ELVIS PRESLEY

Deep in my heart there's a tremblin question
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle, yeah
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
Come true, ohhhhh, right now
Let it come true right now

You are the mirror of Health

Our skin is the largest organ of the body – it also happens to be the one we can see (unlike our other, smaller organs), so it stands to reason that by observing the skin, can tell us a lot about the condition of our body, health, and vitality.

We already know, and accept, that the skin tells us when we are dehydrated; when our hormones are unbalanced; when we have nutritional deficiencies; toxic or allergic reactions, and so on.

Analyzing and observing the skin and specific areas of the face, is an ancient form of diagnosis used by Eastern cultures.  Now the practice ‘face mapping’ (analyzing the zones of the face to diagnose health issues) is widely accepted in Western cultures.

Face mapping is a type of skin analysis that explains why and how certain areas of your face are connected to other parts of your body.

Bladder - Digestive System — If you breakout frequently in this area, it might mean that you need to improve your elimination by drinking more water and eating more "whole" foods.

Liver — This is the zone where food allergies also show up first, so take a look at your ingredients. Limit the amount of alcohol, dairy and heavy foods consumption.
Besides all this, do 30 minutes of light exercise every day and get adequate sleep so your liver can rest.

Kidneys — Dark circles are usually a result of dehydration. Make sure you’re keeping yourself hydrated with water and  steer clear of beverages that dehydrate you, such as soda, coffee and alcohol.

Heart — Check your blood pressure and Vitamin B levels and make sure you’re not using makeup that irritates your skin.
Decrease the intake of spicy or pungent food, cut down on meat and get more fresh air. Besides this, look into ways to lower cholesterol, like replacing “bad fats” with “good fats” such as Omegas 3 and 6 found in nuts, avocados, fish and flax seed.

Lungs -Respiratory system — Those who smoke or have allergies tend to have acne here. Given that blemishes usually appear in these areas mainly on smokers, it is recommended that they refrain from smoking.  Cut down on sugar and get more fresh air. Also keep the body more alkaline by avoiding foods that make the body acidic (meat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, sugar) and adding more alkalizing foods like green veggies and wheatgrass juice.
Another thing that most of forget – dirty cell phones and pillow cases are two of the top acne culprits and this area is what they affect the most!

Stomach — Add more fiber to your diet to  help with digestion and consider undergoing a detox treatment.

Gynecological Problems - Hormones — The presence of acne in these areas is associated with stress and hormonal changes. Stress and hormonal changes can sometimes be alleviated with more water and a few extra servings of dark, leafy greens but if breakouts in this area persistent, make an appointment with your doctor to look into a possible hormonal imbalance.

Additionally, breakouts in this area also indicate when you are ovulating (and which side).

Neck - Illness —  The presence of skin problems in this area is associated with the body’s struggle to kill bacteria, in order to prevent an illness. Take a breather and drink plenty of fluids.

Yin - Yang

If you’ve watched any number of Kung Fu movies or simply kept an eye out for anything denoting Asian culture, then you’re probably familiar with this black and white circle.

Although there are multiple stories involving Yin and Yang, the earliest version of its origins involve a vapor that permeated the whole cosmos. The two strongest forces emerged out of the vapor, and they were known as Yin and Yang. When the two touched, the universe started to emerge. Yang gave birth to fire and sun, while Yin gave birth to water, moon and stars. Their balancing personalities brought about life and continue to reside throughout humanity.

                                                        YIN

                                                       YANG

In Chinese philosophy, the concept of Yin-Yang (simplified Chinese: 阴阳; traditional Chinese: 陰陽; pinyin: yīnyáng), which is often referred to in the West as "yin and yang," literally meaning "shadow and light," is used to describe how polar opposites or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other in turn in relation to each other.

Yin and yang are not opposing forces (dualities), but complementary forces, unseen(hidden, feminine) and seen (manifest, masculine), that interact to form a greater whole, as part of a dynamic system.
Everything has both yin and yang aspects as light could not be understood if darkness didn't exist, and shadow cannot exist without light. Either of these aspects may manifest more strongly in a particular object depending on the criterion of the observation.

This symbol represents the concept of Yin and Yang, two complementary forces that supposedly bring balance to the universe. Light and shadow, water and fire, male and female, hot and cold – the two opposites complete each other in a dynamic system. One cannot exist without the other.

For your own personal understanding, Yin is the black side with the white dot (the feminine side) and Yang is the white side with the black dot (the masculine side).
They are sometimes described as two fish, swimming head to tail, and the literal translation means mean the dark side and sunny side of a hill. Yang is the white side with the black dot on it, and yin is the black side with the white dot on it.

The relationship between yin and yang is often described in terms of sunlight playing over a mountain and a valley.
Yin (literally the 'shady place' or 'north slope') is the dark area occluded by the mountain's bulk, while yang (literally the 'sunny place' or 'south slope') is the brightly lit portion. As the sun moves across the sky, yin and yang gradually trade places with each other, revealing what was obscured and obscuring what was revealed. Yin is characterized as slow, soft, yielding, diffuse, cold, wet, and passive; and is associated with water, earth, the moon, femininity and nighttime. Yang, by contrast, is fast, hard, solid, focused, hot, dry, and aggressive; and is associated with fire, sky, the sun, masculinity and daytime.

For Health
This idea is especially useful for maintaining inner balance in one’s life. Between food and exercise, sleep and work, stress and relaxation – Yin and Yang can be used to describe how an individual walks the fine line between what is good for the body and what isn’t.
Consider this, the body is dependent on food for nutrients, but on the flip side, when consumed in great quantities, food can lead to higher risks of heart attack and stroke. Similarly, exercise is essential for maintaining strong and healthy muscles, but as a counterpoint, too much exercise can lead to muscle soreness and injury.
The key is to find the perfect balance between too much and too little, Yin and Yang. Moderation in all things can help you lead a healthier, happier life, proving that just a little extra discretion in your decisions can go a long way.

Emotional Energy Centers of the Body

Our physical bodies function according to energetic and information-based processes guided by subconscious levels of our being.  Our minds literally create health or illness since some layer of our consciousness is operating the body and creating whatever state we are in.
When we experience emotional distress and fail to release that emotional energy it gets trapped energetically and will imprint into our physical body.

1: Emotional Energy Centers of the Body
2: Burden Area || Burdens & Reponsibilities || * Carrying a heavy load || * Weight of the world on shoulders
3: Throat Center || Self-Expression Issues || * Lack of Trust || * Inability to speak feelings || * Lack of Nurturing
4: Burden Area || Burdens & Reponsibilities || * Carrying a heavy load || * Weight of the world on shoulders
5: Heart Center || Grief, Sorrow, Sadness, Loss || * Emptiness of Heart - Lack of Love || * Helplessness, Aloneness, Disillusionment || * Embarrassment, Shame, Humiliation || * Repressed feelings, Disappointment || * Genetic or Ancient memory || * Cruelty, Meanness
6: Fear Center || Fears & Phobias || * Loss of Control / Fear of losing control || * Giving our power to another person || * Relationships
7: Anger Center || Anger and Rage || * Anger at others || * Anger at self || * Jealousy || * Resentment
8: Guilt/Shame/Unworthiness Center || * Unacceptance || * Self-judgement (sic); self-criticism || * Not deserving of the good life has for us || * Inability to accept and receive
9: Old Stuff Center || Family Sexual Issues || * Childhood conditioning || * Violation of body or personal space || * Something done to us / Something taken from us without our permission || * Molestation, abuse, rape || * Impotence, frigidity
10: Support Area || * Lack of Financial Support
11: Support Area || * Lack of Emotional Support
12: Rejection Center || Abandonment || * Criticism, judgement (sic) by others || * Self-rejection || * Abandonment - pain in the heart
13: Betrayal Center || * Betrayed by someone we trusted || * Self-betrayal
14: Survival Center || Feeling we won't survive a life-threatening incident || * Violations related to surviving (accidents, abuse, violence, rape) || * Impotence, frigidity || * First year of life / Basic Creativity

When we stifle our emotions they become locked in our body, and we will ultimately create dis-ease of some sort, whether it be physical or emotional.
The energy or (E-motion) of these energy systems can be released, allowing the body and emotions to flow freely, as the Divine intended.
Most of these energetic blocks are purely subconscious.
